SCM @ Greenbelt 2010
Join the SCM community at Greenbelt - the Christian arts festival over the August bank holiday weekend. Help out on the SCM stall. Camp together. Share meals at the SCM kitchen tent. Meet-up with new folk and old friends. All are welcome.
Here is your SCM guide to the festival.......
*** SCM camping ***
Do come and camp at the SCM campsite! All are welcome. There'll be folk there from Thursday evening onwards. Look out for the orange kitchen tent and homemade SCM signs. We'll aim to be in the closest bit of General Camping to the festival site but if you can't find us, call Rosie on 07855 012734 and she'll direct you.
*** SCM meals ***
Breakfast items, tea and coffee will be available for you to help yourself to at the SCM campsite. A hot meal will be cooked and served from the kitchen tent daily – all welcome to join us, please put in a small donation (£2 per meal) to cover costs. It would be helpful for our numbers if you could let us know (by text or email) whether you are likely to be eating with SCM over the weekend, but you can also just turn up if you want to.
Friday evening 6 – 7pm
Saturday lunchtime 1 – 2pm
Sunday lunchtime 12.30 Picnic (bring and share) at Tiny Tea Tent
Monday lunchtime 1 – 2pm
Volunteers to take responsibility for coordinating a meal will be very welcome! You can also use the kitchen area to make your own food if you want to.
*** SCM meet-up ***
There will be an SCM picnic on Sunday from 12.30 – 1.30 by the Tiny Tea Tent straight after the communion service - please invite all the students you know or bump into, plus anyone who has been involved in SCM before or would like to find out more about SCM. Bring a rug if you have one, and food to share if you can. If it rains we'll make a plan.......
*** SCM in the G-source ***
Please come along and say hi at the SCM stall in the G-Source. We have lots of publicity materials so do come along and pick up some for your church/uni/college. Take part in the prayer bunting activity and, if you are a student, take away a free Freshers bag.
*** Outerspace worship ***
The Outerspace (LGBT) folk have invited us to join them for worship in their camping area during the festival (look out for the big purple tent close to the festival site) There’s a gathering service on the Friday at 6pm, then prayer on Saturday (9am and 10pm), Sunday (9am and 9pm), and Monday (9am and 6pm).
See you very soon, fingers crossed for sunshine!
