Forum rules - please read

Please read the forum rules below which we've moved over from the old forum and website.

  1. You must be 16 or over to register for these boards.
  2. We will not tolerate racism, homophobia, sexism or other forms of offensive bigotry or abuse.
  3. Do not post libellous remarks (that could lead to us being sued) or text for which you don’t hold the copyright (eg chunks from other webpages).
  4. Don’t post links to offensive websites, or those promoting or encouraging illegal activities.
  5. We will not tolerate vitriolic attacks on other forum members just for the sake of it (trolling).
  6. Don’t use the boards for advertising or for a personal crusade on one issue only. There will be a variety of debates, so express your opinion of a variety of topics.
  7. Stick to the topic of a thread – if you want to talk about something else, start a new thread.
  8. Keep your posts clean – you may swear, but don’t be rude for the sake of it.
  9. Only one identity per person is permitted (no sock puppets).
  10. Be careful about revealing personal details and experiences – remember these boards can be read by anyone with net access.
  11. Feel free to use shorthand or acronyms, but be prepared to explain your message if asked.
  12. Admit when you’re wrong – it makes things so much easier!

Breaking of these rules could lead to users being suspended or banned.

Moderators
As well as the site administrators patrolling the boards from time to time, there are also a number of moderators who keep the peace. Posts may be edited, deleted or moved if moderators feel that content has been designed to cause offence, or may cause serious offence inadvertently, or if the subject is inappropriate for the forum. Moderators also have the power to suspend users if they feel it is warranted.
