Christian Focus is a non-denominational
Christian society based in and around the
University of Warwick Chaplaincy.

It is free to join our society and all are
welcome - regardless of your faith (if any).
Meetings are relaxed and relatively informal
and our members are all friendly people.

The society holds two meetings a week
during term time.

On Sunday evenings we have a social
(usually in the chaplaincy) where a
member of the society cooks a delicious
two course meal in the chaplaincy. Whilst
we eat (and afterwards) people are free to
play games, chat and just relax with a
bunch of friendly people. The meal is
free at the start of term and for your
first time at Focus, after that it's just £2!
Bargain!

On Thursday evenings, we hold a meeting
which is usually a talk followed by discussion,
although sometimes it may be a visit to a
place of worship off campus or even an extra
social! Details of the speaker and topic for
the meeting can be found on our website
and usually start at 7.30pm, again in the
Chaplaincy. Sessions are relatively informal
although we seek to grapple with real and
profound issues.

Before both meetings (except where we
are going off campus) we have a pre-Focus
prayer session at 7.15pm in the Small Chapel
(it's just as you go into the chaplaincy on the
right), usually led by our Prayer Secretary
but may be led by other willing members.
Please feel free to come along and take this
time to reflect upon your week and offer
prayers for any concerns you may have
about exams, family and friends, the world
at large, or anything that is on your mind.
This is an informal session in which everyone
is free to pray in the manner they wish, whether
sharing their prayers out loud, or praying in
silence.
