SCM and the fire last time
i was a very active member of SCM whilst an undergraduate many years ago,and have kept in touch/read the magazine occassionally since.those were heady days of what chris harman called the"fire last time".we now seem to be entering a period which might also become "the fire this time".
although last time, the internet was not available,an internet seatch this time does not generate the kind of links im looking for.then there was SCM,Catonsville Roadrunner,Slant, and a little later Praxis magazine.
so this is a request-id love to hedar from anyone either connected with any of the above between say 1968-1980 or involved or knowledgeable about other radical/socialist Christian magazines, groups, organisations.my interests include gnostic christianity but not im afraid the christian socialist movement,as i think it is too close to the corridors of power.

Welcome
Hi lost,
Welcome to the forum!
I can put something in the next e-newsletter (in the SCM Friends section) asking people to get in touch with you if they were involved in those networks. And then I can pass on any contacts (maybe send me your email address? My email is links@movement.org.uk).
You might be interested in Jesus Radicals with UK contacts here.
Also, there was a Practical Liberation Theology weekend in Bradford in July, which drew lots of interesting people together, and will be happening again next year. Contact chrishowson@yahoo.com for more info about that.
