Being and Belonging: Community Where We Are

Join us for our National Gathering: Theology Day this June!

SCM offers all kinds of opportunities for trying out being a writer, being a leader, becoming an activist, growing as a disciple and more. But first and foremost we are a community where all that is asked of us is to be and belong. Our National Gathering theology day this year will look at what it means to be and belong in the spaces we inhabit. What does it mean to make community where we are?

Through a day of talks and creative activities we'll explore: how to build community, the power and purpose of community, how we all have something to offer, plus living in community and living with difference.

This event is open to everyone who is either a member of SCM, or eligible for membership (current studying at or has graduated from a UK institution of Higher Education within the last 3 years).

General Info

The venue is very close to London Euston station (about a 4 minute walk), so is easy to get to. The front entrance on Upper Woburn Place (at the corner with Euston Road) has an accessible entrace with ramps on either side of the steps. Please note this is the only accessible entrance. There is one toilet, which is wheelchair accessible. This is at the back of the church, through the south vestry, near the back door. There are more toilets nearby in cafes and at Euston, St Pancras and Kings Cross mainline stations.

Lunch is included in the ticket price. There will be vegetarian and vegan options. Please let us know any allergies or dietary requirements when you book.

If the cost of the travel is a barrier to attending, we may be able to help. Please contact Jen, SCM's Finance and Fundraising Administrator by email for information.
