Introducing our speaker Sam Cresswell

Sam is a youth worker at The Proud Trust, with a particular focus on trans youth work. He has lived in Manchester for 10 years and has a wide range of interests, including bodies and experiences of being embodied, gender, relationships, cats, Star Trek, God, and late 90s video games that no-one plays anymore but aren't yet old enough to be considered retro. He has a degree in Religions & Theology and is currently studying part-time for an MA in the same.

This is my body

Bodies - we've all got one. But how do they relate to our faith, our identities and our wellbeing? This workshop gives you the chance to think about your relationship with your body, Christian understandings of the body, and the LGBT+ embodied experience. This workshop is for all genders (and none), all bodies and all kinds of Christian faith.

Introducing our Chaplain Nick Campbell.

Nick is a Licensed Reader Minister with The Church of England. He is also a chaplain at the Christie Trust Hospital in Manchester. Nick sees chaplaincy work as a privilege and an honour. In chaplaincy work he finds that the sacred and the ordinary are always inter-twined. He is really looking forward to the event and hopes to speak to as many of the attendees as possible.
