Walk Humbly

In Micah 6:8, God asks us to ‘act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God' - throughout our weekend together we'll be thinking about how to put this into practice! Through speakers, workshops, worship and fellowship, we'll explore how we can journey humbly on, both as a movement and as individuals.

As well as the usual fun and camaraderie you've come to know and love at SCM events, we'll hear from speakers who will help us to keep listening and learning as we journey forward as disciples. 

Our keynote speaker this year is Ashwin Thyssen, a junior lecturer in the Department of Systematic Theology and Ecclesiology at Stellenbosch University. We're thrilled that he's able to join us from South Africa for the weekend, and can't wait to hear what he has to say about the intersection between queer and black theologies!

We'll also have two members from the devolved nations sharing their experience of student Christianity and life in Scotland and Wales, as well as a host of workshops led by members and special guests from Women and the Church and The Council of Christians and Jews (tbc).

This event is open to all SCM members and all those eligible for SCM membership .SCM membership is open to any student studying at a UK institution of Higher Education, or who has graduated from one within the last three years.

Travel

We realise that the cost of travel is very expensive at the moment, so we want to do everything we can to help if this is an obstacle. If you have a car and would be willing to pick people up en route please get in touch. Equally if you would like to be on the receiving end of a lift let us know on your booking form, and we will do our best to find someone near you. There are other potential options out there as well, so please don't let travel hold you back from joining us!
