Speaker Details

Should We Keep Our Faith in Politics? will be a panel discussion on the place of personal belief in political sphere, how we as people of faith are called to engage with politics, and whether we should just give up on the whole thing. We will hear from Lucy Zwolinska, Gateshead Poverty Truth Commission and the Methodist church, and Jonathan Pryor, Local Councillor for Headingley and Hyde Park, as well as other panel guests.

Faith in Our Democracy Today will be a day conference organised by Project Bonhoeffer, covering Christianity in our 21st-Century secular and multi-religious world. Speakers include Tom Greggs, Professor in History and Doctrinal Theology at Aberdeen University, and Revd Dr Deirdre Brower Latz of the Nazarene Theological College, as well as workshops from SCM Regional Workers on Disagreeing Well and Bonhoeffer's approach to faith and action.
