Gathering Prayers

Come to me all who are tired
Come to me all who are excluded
Come to me all who are overwhelmed
Come to me all who are worried
Come to me all who are busy
Come to me all who are alone
Come to me all who are angy
Come to me all who are world weary
Come to me all who are grieving
Come to me all who are ostracised
Come to me all who are stressed
Come to me all who are worn-down
Come to me all who are sick
Come to me all who are confused
Come to me all who are broken
Come to me all who are disillusioned
Come to me all who are depressed
Come to me all who are discriminated agains
Come to me all who are exhausted
Come to me all who are cynical
Come to me all who are hurting
Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden.
Cast your load upon me,
for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

George Walsh, SCM General Council 2010-12

Lord Jesus, our companion and guide

You show us the path of life.

In your presence is fullness of joy.

Take us by the hand and journey with us

as we come to worship you.

Jo Henderson-Merrygold, SCM Links Worker (2004 - 2007)

In arriving and leaving,

God is with us.
In belonging and loving,

God is with us.
In questioning and challenging

God is with us.
In answers and disagreements,

God is with us.
In journeying and resting,

God is with us.
In grieving and singing,

God is with us.
In worshipping and taking action,

God is with us.

Let us worship God.
Listen and be radical,

how will we translate our response into action?
