Disability Theology is a growing area of theology which is seeking to understand the relationship between the experiences of disability and faith. It opens up interpretations of scripture through the lens and understanding of disability, utilising both contemporary and historical experiences and perspectives.
Disability Theology is a broad term which also includes many different theologies, for example Deaf Theology, the Theology of Physical Disability, and Disability within Divinity. There are many understandings and interpretations of theology which fall within the scope of Disability Theology, and it is important to note that not all can be covered within this resource! Please use this as a guide and a starting point to your explorations of Disability Theology instead, and follow your interests further.
