Victoria Methodist Bristol
We are an Inclusive Church passionate about learning, social justice and the creative arts where all are welcome. We are a friendly and lively church based near the University in the Clifton area of Bristol with a congregation of around 70 people that spans all ages. We have a range of worship styles and groups to get involved with, from Taize and Iona Community style worship to more traditional and all-age services. Sunday morning worship is in person as well as on Zoom at 10.30am, and we have mid-week worship on Zoom on Wednesdays at 8pm.
We have groups including a 20s&30s group, book group and various instrumental groups and choirs to join. We often have concerts and other musical and dramatic events as well as exhibitions in the church, and you can find out more information about past ones on the website.
The church is open on Wednesdays from 12-2pm for Calm, Create, Community where the intention is to provide a calm atmosphere where you can enter and leave when you wish and sit quietly or watch or take part in a craft activity and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and cake.
We are on our journey towards becoming an Eco-Church and have regular opportunities to learn, engage and act on social justice issues.
Our vision for our ministry to the community is to be a Methodist Church which seeks to share the Gospel through encouraging lifelong learning and engaging with and through media and the creative arts. We hope that this vision will gradually permeate what we do as a church and be reflected in our worship, fellowship, decision-making and service to the community.
