Volunteer with us
Volunteers bring valuable skills, experience and ideas to SCM and help to enhance the support we can provide to students. We are always looking for volunteers to support our work in the office in Birmingham, speak about SCM's work in churches and at events, and to contribute to resources.
Whether you can give a few hours a month, or are looking to gain work experience in a busy small charity, we'd love to hear from you! Please contact us.
Council of Reference
SCM's Council of Reference acts as an advisory body to the General Council, which is made up of students and recent graduates. We are always looking for new members, so if you feel you have skills and experience that would benefit SCM, or would like more information, please get in touch with our Acting National Coordinator by email. We are particularly looking for people with expertise in the areas of fundraising, theology, membership development, ministry with young people and students, chaplaincy, and marketing.
We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, people with dependents or caring responsibilities, and other groups under-represented in the charity sector. The Council of Reference usually meets three times per year, and all reasonable expenses are provided.
